Flaxbeard's Steam Power, or FSP, previously known as Steamcraft and then Professor Flaxbeard's Wondrous Steam Power Mod, is a tech mod originally by Flaxbeard, Dimitriye98 (soon replaced by Zenith), but then later taken over by SatanicSanta and Xbony2, due to Flaxbeard's lack of motivation and time, and Zenith's random disappearance. SatanicSanta and Xbony2, after a few months, created the Esteemed Innovation Team, which is the group of people that work on this mod and its related projects. It based on, as described in the name, steam power. Its goal is to add innovative content, and unlike several other mods, it is not trying to do things better than other tech mods are able to do (such as ore processing and automatic mining). It includes in-game documentation, in the form of the Esteemed Innovation book.

The main materials needed to progress in FSP are Clay, Copper, and Zinc. Copper and Zinc can be found as ores in the world, under sea-level. The majority of the items and blocks are created using Brass, an alloy made from combining Copper and Zinc in a Crucible.

FSP adds support for various mods, including Twilight Forest, Ender IO, Thaumcraft 4, Botania, Blood Magic, Thermal Foundation, IndustrialCraft 2, Natura, MineTweaker, and any mod that adds Lead.

FSP has been discontinued so that the team can work on its successor and overhaul, Esteemed Innovation.
