Crops (GregTech)

GregTech adds multiple Crops to the IC2 crop breeding system.

Usage

Crops with no seed can only be produced through crossbreeding. Crops which list the same special drop multiple times have a higher chance of dropping that special drop.

Tips

Certain crops may require an ore block of the type of metal that they produce to fully mature to their harvestable stage. Place the ore block underneath the farm block that contains the crop.

Some crops are identical in appearance until they reach their final stage. If you want to know what you are growing before it finishes you can use a Gregtech Portable Scanner to scan the crop. The Portable Scanner will tell you the plant type, the plants stats (Growth, Gain and Resistance), the environment stats (Nutrients, Humidity and Air-Quality), the attributes and who discovered the plant. This is very useful if you are crossbreeding to get new crop types or if you are crossbreeding to increase stats as you will be able to see all the information on the crop before it fully matures and you can decide if you want to let the crop mature or if you just want to break it and start crossbreeding again.
