The Assembling Machine is a multipurpose machine from GregTech 5. Most of its recipes are just utility recipes, even for items from mods like Railcraft and Forestry, if installed.

Anyhow, without the machine, it is not possible to craft most of the upgrades and covers, and other items as Restrictive Pipes. Also, crafting many objects, like circuits and TNT, with the Assembling Machine, requires significantly less raw materials than how much would be required if those items were crafted by hand. Therefore it is higly recommended to build this machine as soon as possible.

Most importantly, the Assembling Machine is required to craft all Circuits more advanced than the Basic Electronic Circuit. In general, the crafting of these circuits is done by combining a Circuit Board from the Forming Press with some set of additional chips or components from either an Assembling Machine, a Precision Laser Engraver, or a Forming Press. All crafting operations in the Assembling Machine involving circuitry or electronics also require fluid Tin, Lead, or Soldering Alloy. Soldering Alloy is the best for this; larger quantities of Tin and Lead are required to do the same work.
