The Electrolyzer is a processing machine added by GregTech 6. It is used to separate chemical compounds into their elements. It is necessary to produce Aluminium.
The Electrolyzer is powered by electrical energy or EU. Higher tiers of the Electrolyzer allow a wider variety of compounds to be electrolyzed.

Usage[]
The Electrolyzer takes up to two items and/or up to two fluids as input, and produces up to six items and fluids as output. Some recipes require a Selector Tag.
The essential use of the Electrolyzer is as the final part of an ore processing chain, separating compounds such as Magnetite into Iron and other elements. Separating a compound using the Electrolyzer often yields more product than smelting it in the Smelting Crucible. It is also used to obtain Sodium and Lithium from Clay Dust, and Silicon Dioxide from Sand. Almost every chemical compound can be separated into elements using the Electrolyzer, but more complex compounds require more EU/t, and thus need a higher tier of Electrolyzer.
The only Electrolyzer recipe taking all four potential inputs is the final step in purifying Aluminium metal from Alumina.
