Familiars are creatures added by Witchery. These animals can assist in performing witchcraft within Witchery, like curse removal, brewing certain potions, and amplifying brew effects. There are three types of Familiars: Cat, Owl, and Toad.

Cat Familiars require a tamed Ocelot in the ritual circle. This type of Familiar will assist in the art of curses and curse removal. If a witch has a Cat Familiar, all of their curses will be stronger, and become harder for other witches to remove. Possessing a Cat Familiar will also allow them to perform the Curse of Corrupt Poppet. Witches with Cat Familiars may also create the Brew of Cursed Leaping.

Owl Familiars require a tamed Owl in the ritual circle. This type of Familiar will assist in the art of flight. If a witch has an Owl Familiar, they will be able to control the Enchanted Broom smoother. Owl Familiars also allow witches to create the Brew of Bodega.

Toad Familiars require a tamed Toad in the ritual circle. This type of Familiar will assist in the art of brewery. If a witch has a Toad Familiar, when they create a brew in the Kettle, there is an additional 5% chance that they will produce an extra brew. Brews that are used will have stronger effects, or larger areas of effect, if the witch has a Toad Familiar. The Brew of Sprouting and Brew of Thorns will produce slightly larger plants. The Brew of Vines will allow for more horizontal traversal. Toad Familiars also allow witches to create the Brew of Frog's Tongue.
