Feed The Beast Wiki talk:Translation markup guide

What Nick said/did: don't do "{{L|T}}", ONLY do "{{L}}".

Also, some various bad implementations:

  • Making an entire infobox translatable, like Label does. Only certain parameters should be, like "mod", "name", etc. Parameters with numbers shouldn't be, unless it includes some text with it like "Day: 5 EU/t<br/>Night: 1".
  • Making an entire table translatable. See what I did on Modpacks: only things that should be translatable are translatable. This also means if someone adds a new value to the table, the whole thing isn't fucked up.
  • Pages that were made in less then a few days ago shouldn't be marked up, unless you happened to make it. They may not be complete, or better said, the creator might not be completely satisfied with it, even if it doesn't include Template:WIP (I confuse I do this sometimes).

Right. — NickTheRed37 t/c FTBWiki Translator 07:05, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
I'm not really sure what his source has to do with translation, though. That has to do with font styling and crap. But, I did just speak with Peter, and you are correct about it being obsolete. However, {{L|T}} does work. Otherwise like half the translated pages on this site would be broken. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 01:08, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Removal of currently[edit source]

NickTheRed37: we already say "current translation admins", so adding "currently" is just redundant. It is already stated that they are the current ones. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 15:27, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

The entire article shouldn't be used anyway :/ it's... shitty to be honest about it -Xbony2 (talk) 22:47, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
so rewrite it. It is needed so that when people are promoted we don't need to explain everything over and over again. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 07:21, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, I was only looking at where I had edited. — NickTheRed37 t/c FTBWiki Translator 14:43, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
