This guide is going to help you set up a Steve's Carts treefarm.

Requirements[]

Steve's Carts generally needs a lot of resources. We'll go over them before starting;

IMPORTANT Notes:

Less Important Notes:

Layout[]

To start creating your tree farm, you will need to find or create a flat area to lay your tracks down.
You'll want to have a rectangular area, 9 tiles in width and anything above 9 tiles in length. Make sure there's at least 3 spaces between two opposite sides of the rectangle, and 2 tiles out from each side.

Recipe[]

In the resource requirements table you can see how much of each item you need. Start off by crafting a Cart Assembler. The Cart Assembler requires Simple PCBs.

Simple PCB[]

Cart Assembler[]

Next up is a Standard Hull. This is the base of your modular tree farm minecart. It's crafted like the vanilla Minecart, with two Iron Wheels under it.

Wood Cutter[]

Now for the Modules. You'll want to put a Wood Cutter Attachment on your Standard Hull. Since this guide teaches you how to get started with tree farms, we will use the Basic Wood Cutter, which is the cheapest Wood Cutter. It still costs 5 Diamonds, though.
You will first need an Advanced PCB. They are basically the upgraded version of the Simple PCB.

Advanced PCB[]

Now we'll need a Wood Cutting Core. It's very easy - it requires only 4 of any kind of Sapling.

Wood Cutting Core[]

The last parts of the Basic Wood Cutter are 5 Saw Blades.

Solar Engines[]

To run your cart, you will need Engines. Using a Solar Engine is recommended, because this will save you fuel during the day. Solar Engines are more expensive than Coal Engines, but they only require a clear view to the sky. If you plan on building your tree farm underground, you might want to skip ahead to the part about Coal Engines.
To craft a (Standard) Solar Engine, you will need 4 Solar Panels, which require Glowstone Dust, so you'll need a trip to the nether for some Glowstone.

Solar Panel[]

Then you'll need 2 Iron Ingots, 2 Pistons and an Advanced PCB.

Solar Engine[]

Alternatively, you could craft a Compact Solar Engine. The Compact version of the Solar Engine is placed on the sides of the cart, leaving the top for a Top Chest Module. However, the Compact Solar Engine has a smaller internal energy buffer, meaning that it may be necessary to also have some form of Coal Engine to keep the Cart running.
It's crafted with 2 Advanced Solar Panels.
