The Golden Laurel Crown is a bauble added by Botania. Its entry in the Lexica Botania is initally hidden until the player acquires Elven Knowledge. If the player loses all their health points while wearing the crown, it will shatter, saving them from death by regenerating all of the player's health and giving them a short period of invincibility.
To equip the crown, press the "B" key (by default) to open the Baubles inventory GUI, where the player can equip the Crown in the Amulet slot. Alternatively, the player can right-click while holding the crown to automatically equip the item.
When the crown breaks, the message "Your Golden Laurel Crown shatters, as it saves you from death." will appear in the game chat box.
The Golden Laurel Crown was removed in version 1.9-342 of Botania, as the vanilla Totem of Undying provides very similar functionality.
