Gaia Guardian
ModBotania
TypeHostile monster

The Gaia Guardian is a hostile boss added by Botania. It has 200 health points, and is a dangerous boss that is very difficult to defeat; this is due to the Guardian's extremely frequent teleporting and release of Gaia Traps. It will also spawn gray Pixies to attack the player frequently.

The player can summon a Gaia Guardian by performing the Ritual of Gaia. This ritual is predicted to be mid/end-game to achieve.

When summoned, it will rise above the beacon and quickly generate its health, similar to the Wither. While doing this, the guardian is unable to move and will stay temporarily paralyzed standing on the Beacon (part of the ritual structure).

Upon teleporting, it releases Gaia Traps, which appear as purple clouds. If the player stands in the Gaia Traps they are temporarily given the Blindness effect and the Wither IV effect.

The Gaia Guardian will also occasionally lift the player high in the air, paralyzing them in place, then dropping them to suffer fall damage.

The Lexica Botania highly recommends that the player wear full, enchanted Elementium Armor when battling the guardian, since player-friendly Pixies have a high chance to spawn, and will aid you in defeating the boss.

Appearance

The Gaia Guardian takes the appearance of the player's skin but much darker, will not change its appearance.
