Agrarian Skies: Hardcore Quest

Hardcore Questing Mode is a mod created by Scott Wears, LordDusk, and Vswe that adds a multiple-life Hardcore System to the game, which allows for more than one life in a Hardcore game. Also, it adds a fully configurable questing system, mostly known to be used in Agrarian Skies: Hardcore Quest. It allows the map maker to add unique quests with certain tasks to complete, if completed, the quests give the player rewards.

Originally released for 1.6.2, the first version of the mod only had the lives-system in in order to test its functionality. After that, the developers stopped to work on it for a while, until Jadedcat wanted to use the mod for one of her modpacks. The developers picked the mod up again and develop it since.

The packs that will be made in the JamPacked competition hosted by slowpoke, founder of Feed The Beast, will all be based around this Mod.

Guides[edit | edit source]

To have a quest trigger from another page, its best to first make the quest on the page you want the triggering quest to be located.

For example, if You want a quest on page 2 to become available after a quest on page 1 is completed. Make the quest you intend for page 2 on page 1 first. Link it to the quest on page 1 and then exit the page and press TARGET and highlight page 2. (It'll turn the color blue). Now enter page 1 and click on CHANGE SET and then the quest you want to move. It'll disappear from page 1 and show up on page 2. However it will remain linked to the quest on page 1.

To do this with an exiting quest you already have on page 2, simply move it to page 1 and link it to the quest you want as the trigger. Then repeat step 1 again.

Another button that should be explained is the TRIGGER button. If you want a quest to remain invisible until after a certain stage or previous quest has been completed, you can use the trigger feature to make the quest complete the first listed task on that quest before it will become visible. Ideally you would make the first task something that has either been awarded or obtained/crafted during the previous quest, to trigger the visibility on the 2nd quest.

Example: In quest A you have to make a furnace. Quest B on the same or another page is invisible until the first task on it triggers. You make the first task for quest B a Detection task for a furnace. These quests do not need to be linked.
