The Lathe is a machine added by GregTech 5. It is the first machine that the player can build to produce rods more efficiently as the LV Extruder cannot be used to craft metal rods. The Lathe and the MV Extruder have the same material efficiency, however the Lathe produces one rod and two small dusts per ingot, which means that for some materials like Steel and Aluminium there will be a larger energetic expense because those materials have to be smelted in an Electric Blast Furnace.
The Lathe can also be used to produce screws, rounds, lenses, and wooden sticks.
Recipe
Like every electric machine in GregTech 5, the Lathe comes in 5 variants, one for each voltage from Low to Insane.
