The Living Chestplate is a chestplate added by Blood Magic for Minecraft 1.8.9 and later. It is a part of an armor set that is comprised of the Living Helmet, Living Leggings and Living Boots; equipping the full set grants the upgrades gained on the Chestplate.
Recipe[edit | edit source]
The Living Chestplate is created by placing Arcane Ashes, Binding Reagent, and an Iron Chestplate in that order on a solid block. It will take a few seconds for all the items to transform into the Living Chestplate. The Living Chestplate will begin with 100 available upgrade points.
Rituals[edit | edit source]
Activating a Sound of the Cleansing Soul ritual while standing on top of the Master Ritual Stone will strip all upgrades from the chestplate and drop Living Armour Upgrade Tomes of each ability retaining its specific level. Upgrade Tomes can be used in hand to place the respective ability onto the currently worn Living Chestplate. Two Tomes of the same ability and level can be combined in an anvil.
Alchemy[edit | edit source]
Consuming a Draft of Angelus will increase the available upgrade points from 100 to 200.

Downgrades[edit | edit source]
Downgrades are gained by crafting them in a Penance of the Leadened Soul ritual. They remove the number of upgrade points used, allowing the player to add more upgrades.
To perform the ritual Penance of the Leadened Soul, create the ritual altar using a Master Ritual Stone and Ritual Diviner, and on the raised portion of the altar, place an Item Frame above with a Chest below. the item frame holds the "key item" to be downgraded and the chest holds the items to be consumed in the ritual. Each downgrade below and their ingredients for creation in the ritual are labeled in JEI (hover over a master ritual stone and press U for "Uses", then navigate to the "Penance (ritual)" tab)
Once the player has the downgrade they want and its related recipe, place the key item into the Item Frame and the items to be consumed in the chest, oriented as seen in JEI, activate the ritual, then crouch/sneak.
