Usage[edit | edit source]
Luminator's can be placed on ceilings, walls, or on Cables, and will change their shape depending on which they are attached to. While attached to a Cable, the Luminator is a Block sized flat square; while attached to ceilings, it will look like a smaller, thicker square; while attached to a wall, it will look like a thin rectangle. The Luminator can be powered by an attached Cable, or by right clicking on one with a charged RE-Battery, Energy Crystal, or Lithium Battery.
While operating, the Luminator will use approximately .25 EU per tick. The Luminator's internal battery can hold 10,000 EU; this allows the Luminator to run for approximately 33⅓ minutes in real time, or around 1⅔ Minecraft days.
The Luminator can only handle Low Voltage Energy; any more than 32 EU per tick will cause the machine to explode violently.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- The Luminator cannot currently be attached to a wall.
- The Luminator will not connect to a Cable underneath it, only to the top of it. This makes running Cable underneath a Luminator to hide the Cables impossible.
- The Luminator can be placed in ways it should not be able to; placing one on a floor without Cable, for instance, will cause the Luminator to look like the ceiling version, and hover in the air at the top of the Block it occupies, instead of resting on the floor. Causing a Block update near the floating Luminator will remove it from the game world.
