The Miniature Nether Portal is a device added by GregTech 6. It can transport "every GT thing in existence"[1] including items, fluids, redstone and comparator signals between the Overworld and The Nether.

Recipe[edit | edit source]

Usage[edit | edit source]

Much like the Nether Portal structure, the Miniature Nether Portal can be activated by lighting it with any fire starter (such as Flint and Steel), and can be deactivated the same way. It also connects to the closest matching miniature portal after multiplying the nether side coordinates by eight. Unlike the full size Nether Portal, Miniature Nether Portals do not spawn their partners.

It acts by pretending to be at the location and dimension of the linked portal when accessed by adjacent tiles. This only works if the linked destination is also chunk loaded. Pipes, wires, and hoppers will interact with a tile entity (another pipe or wire, any inventory) on the opposite side of the linked Miniature Portal.
