The Muffler Upgrade is an upgrade added by GregTech 5. When applied to a machine it disables that machine's sound effects. While it can be useful in reducing the amount of noise in the player's workplace, it has the disadvantage where it also disables the 'out of energy' sound effect; players should monitor energy reserves if the upgrade is installed.
The Upgrade is applied to a machine by right-clicking the machine while holding it in hand. Once applied, it cannot be removed.
