The Nether Star Generator x64 is a block added by Extra Utilities. It will create Redstone Flux (RF) out of Nether Stars, with a single star lasting 1.875 seconds. This generator produces power faster than most power systems can transfer it. As with all other Extra Utilities generators, this generator shows the burn time, and RF/t production in the GUI, and also keeps its charge level when broken and replaced.
It will also create a "radiation field" that damages anything in a ten block radius. As such, designs have been created to use this generator to kill Withers, to generate more stars for the generator. It will inflict Wither III indefinitely until players leave the field, upon which the duration drops to ten seconds. Having stronger generators and more of them will increase the radiation field. Even when equipping full Quantum Armor, it will remove millions of EU from the player's helmet in seconds (but it takes less from the other pieces). It will also inflict Mining Fatigue indefinitely on players until they exit the radiation field, which cancels the effect. It is highly recommended to stay away from the radiation fields.
