Oreberry Bushes are a type of block added by Tinkers' Construct. Oreberry Bushes come in six varieties: iron, gold, copper, tin, and aluminum (there is also a special Essence Oreberry Bush). Oreberry Bushes can be harvested for their corresponding Oreberry, which is equivalent to a nugget of the respective material. Oreberry Bushes are very similar to Natura's Berry Bushes, in that mature Oreberry Bushes have visible Oreberries on the outside. To harvest a mature Oreberry Bush, break, punch, or use the block. Entities which move into an Oreberry Bush receive a half heart of damage, as if the block were a cactus.
Generation[edit | edit source]
Oreberry bushes spawn naturally underground in places exposed to air. They are not displaced by water or lava, and can sometimes be found in underground lakes and lava lakes.
Growing Conditions[edit | edit source]
Oreberry Bushes can be planted on either a mature Oreberry Bush or any solid block with a light level under 13; however, they will only grow at a light level of 9 or lower. This effectively means that, to grow and thus be of any use, they must be at least 6 blocks (5 intermediate blocks) away from torches and 7 away from direct skylight
Oreberry Bushes have four stages of growth: small, medium, large, and mature. In an appropriate environment (see above), it takes an average (it varies quite a lot) of 1 minute and 13 seconds† to advance to the next stage.
†Based on results from six tests of 18 bushes.
Tips[edit | edit source]
Oreberry Bushes, much like Berry Bushes, can be farmed automatically with Thaumcraft 4 Golems or Autonomous Activators. They are also affected by items and blocks which make random ticks more frequent, such as the Watering Can.
