Phytogenic Insolator (Thermal Expansion 5)
- This page is about the Phytogenic Insolator added by Thermal Expansion 5. For other uses, see .
|Mod||Thermal Expansion 5|
|RF use||20 RF/t|
The Phytogenic Insolator is a machine added by Thermal Expansion 5. It consumes Redstone Flux (RF), Water, farmable crops or seeds, and Phyto-Gro to produce farmable crops. It is effectively a powered farm.

Usage[edit | edit source]
The Phytogenic Insolator is a good machine for cases where players do not want to wait for their crops to grow. It grows farmable materials much more quickly than they would normally, but expends Water, RF, and Phyto-Gro or Rich Phyto-Gro fertilizer to do so.
The Phytogenic Insolator has two item input slots, two output slots, and an input tank for water. One of the two input slots can be locked to only accept Phyto-Gro. To grow crops in an Insolator, insert an item of any farmable material (Seeds, Carrots, Potatoes, Lily Pads, Sugar Canes, Vines, etc.), 1 Phyto-Gro, 7200 RF, and about 640 mB Water (this can vary slightly). There is a limit on the speed of the Insolator, as it can only consume 20RF/t. Once the required materials have been consumed, the Insolator will output approximately the same items as would be obtained from one growth cycle of a conventional farm plot.
As an alternative to Phyto-Gro, Rich Phyto-Gro can be used. Growing crops with Rich Phyto-Gro takes more time and consumes 9600 RF and 960 mB Water, but produces 3x the output of regular Phyto-Gro.
