The Rite of Moving Earth is a rite added by Witchery. This rite causes the earth to move up one block at the same diameter of the circle.
This rite can be optionally used with a coven (by using a Seer Stone on the heart glyph), which will add 2 blocks to the radius of the column that is risen for every witch in the coven, allowing for a maximum column diameter of roughly 28 blocks. The height of the risen column depends entirely on whether the heart glyph is destroyed while moving the earth upward. If the heart glyph breaks, it will stop rising. This typically happens on the very first move, resulting in a 1 block high column. This can sometimes be prevented by using a stronger block than Dirt, such as Stone, though there is no way to absolutely prevent this from happening.
