Shadowrite Warriors attack players on sight, approaching them to attack in melee and inflicting Blindness to their target for 5 seconds on a hit. Like Chickens, they are immune to fall damage and fall slowly. They instantly disappears during the day even if they are not exposed to the sky.
Shadowrite Warriors have a 50% chance of spawning equipped with a Shield. Warriors armed with a Shield will occasionally stop attacking and raise their Shield, making them immune to all damage for a few seconds before resuming their attacks.
Shadowrite Warriors also spawn with a tier, ranging from 0 to 3. This determines what equipment the Warrior will wear (and thus its attack damage and armor) as well as how much experience it drops. Each tier has an equal chance to be picked when a Warrior spawns.

During new moons, the spawn rate of Shadowrite Warriors is drastically increased in the Overworld. If Warriors are able to spawn, then at the start of such nights all players will receive a warning saying "Tonight the moon is away and so shadows come out to play!".
