The Silverwood Sapling is a sapling added by Thaumcraft 5, which grows into a Silverwood Tree. The Silverwood Tree is harvested to gain Silverwood Logs (and possibly Silverwood Leaves), as well as Shimmerleaves that grow under and around the tree.
Silverwood Trees can be found densely in Magical Forests, or in normal Forests. The most important part of a Silverwood Tree is that it can grow a Pure Aura Node in its core.
Silverwood Leaves, however, very rarely drop Silverwood Saplings; there is merely a 1/200 chance of a Silverwood Leaf dropping one, making a Silverwood Sapling fairly valueable.
