The Steel Axle is an axle added by Better With Mods. It is used to transfer continuous Mechanical Power (Can not transfer power from Hand Cranks) with the help of Gearboxes to power other machines from the mod. Steel Axles must hook up to Powered Gearboxes to start turning and transferring power. These axles can handle up to 5 blocks in a row before breaking under the stress. After every 5 axles there must be a Gearbox which will allow more axles to be hooked up to it from other sides and repeat.
The Steel Axle can be rotated by shift-clicking it.
Recipe[edit | edit source]
Input and Output[edit | edit source]
Mechanical Power (via Axles) must be inserted into this face of a Gearbox (Either Steel or Wooden):
Axles can then retrieve power from any side of the Gearbox except the side which it is receiving power from.
Usage[edit | edit source]
Here is an example of a Mechanical Power Setup:
The Windmill is turning, feeding power into an Axle (In this case, a Wooden Axle meaning only up to 3 blocks in a row) which then transfers through Gearboxes (In this case, Wooden Gearboxes) and so on.
