Mail Order Catalogue[edit source]

Blood Magic now has a book. Start by creating a Mail Order Catalogue (created with a Feather, Book, Ink Sack and two glass blocks) and drop it on the ground. In a few seconds it will be struck by lightning and you can pick up your brand new copy of the Sanguine Scientiam.

Curse[edit source]

As I understand it, CurseForge is the place for technically advanced users to get mods. Mods in beta post frequent updates here, and there are many versions listed. Curse on the other hand is intended as a simple one-click gets the correct version site, and should probably remain the default project site link imo. Fudge (talk) 12:38, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

I disagree. The regular Curse site is more ad-y and less maintained. CurseForge is generally the "main" place to download mods; a few mod authors, including me, actually have comments disabled on the Curse website since we would prefer to keep it on the centralized location of CF. Also, I heard from a grape vine that the Curse pages may just redirect to the CurseForge pages in the future. -Xbony2 (talk) 13:08, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
I am actually quite happy to hear that. The whole minecraftforum.net / curse.com / curseforge.com multiplicity is quite confusing for new users, and of them, CurseForge does seem the most usable - although minecraftforum.net still has the better forum.

The Minecraft Forums will still be around; CurseForge is certainly not much of a replacement for it :P -Xbony2 (talk) 13:17, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
I also mused which link I should be taken, but only on CurseForge there is the 1.9 version. --LuminousLizard de-native / "en-2" (talk) 18:59, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
