Documentation of RFTools[edit source]

Good news, McJty accepted to copy the documentation of the in-game manual (most accurate information about the mod) :D. That means that the documentation of RFTools is now much easier. -IndestructiblePharaohVII 15:03, 17 November 2016 (UTC)

That's cool, although the tone doesn't really match up... -Xbony2 (talk) 22:28, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
The tone can be changed, what I am caring about most is the content. -IndestructiblePharaohVII 14:09, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
If it works out, sure ^^ but make sure it matches the style of this wiki. -Xbony2 (talk) 14:13, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Ok, when I have time, probably I will do it (hopefully). -IndestructiblePharaohVII 14:41, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

This is not the right place, but I'll put it on GitHub. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:47, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Okay put on GitHub issue, but please make an account, I don't really wanna do this :P -Xbony2 (talk) 21:37, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
fine, i stop contributing. i'll keep all my patches on my own knowledge then. 23:24, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
I don't play RFTools, and this place is not the right place to contact the developer(s). It's kind of a random place for you put your patches to be honest. Please find some way to talk to the dev, through GitHub or through whatever other medium. I appreciate you are trying to help the community at large, but I don't want to use my time on this wiki to relay patches to the Github repo, and I think that's fair and reasonable. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:52, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
wikis are almost the last place where you can put things without account. 08:45, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
you think it's unreasonable you to spend 2 minutes to post link to git that, i spend maybe sometimes hours to make. 08:49, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Nothing is stopping you from posting it to Github. As a wiki we are much more concerned with documentation and much less with how the mod runs; we do not have any say on altering the code for mods (unless we do it on Github). Only a few mod devs consult our wiki and use it to document their mods—any other issues are found on their Github repositories. --SirMoogle (talk) 16:56, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
that "magic number", 2520 makes it possible to combine any combination of fractions under and to 10. example 1/3 + 1/7. another 3/4 + 2/9. don't bother to link this, he should come here to look asnwer by himself if he wants to know more. 09:11, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Why are you so insistent on not making an account? It takes like a minute to make one and no one says you have to actually use the account - for example, a common practice on Reddit is making throwaway accounts for a single post which you don't want to post under your main one. The accounts either get abandoned and never used, or deleted really quickly. And there are tons of throwaway email services that let you skip using your real email, if you have one. Just make an account, post your pull request and disappear. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ --Hubry (talk) 11:32, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
it has become matter of princible, if my help isn't accepted without account that i already don't have, i don't help at all. today people have tons of accounts, that includes me too. just creating another account just doesn't do it. then you might think using some grand account, like facebook, it's problem, because that identifies you. i'm saying people should leave door open for someone, who just feels like contributing without needing any kind of commitment. CREATING ACCOUNT IS ACT OF COMMITMENT. 14:28, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
You are already quite committed to trying to fix something in a completely wrong place, it would take less effort to just PR the thing in. --Hubry (talk) 14:44, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Some people are going to disagree with you there. If something as trivial as that goes against your principles, then so be it; don't post anything. That is your problem and your problem alone. No one is seriously attached to free accounts that are easily made in a minute. We will gladly link you to the appropriate places to direct your concern, but we are not your errand boys. If you wish to contribute to documenting mods like RFTools we'll be glad to have you here, account or no. --SirMoogle (talk) 16:56, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
What SirMoogle said. I'm protecting this page, not that interested in debate. -Xbony2 (talk) 21:17, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

i'm not oblicating anyone. but someone who feels like comes around can post these if she/he feels like so. these here doesn't harm anyone. 12:45, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
It doesn't, but at the same time it also doesn't help anyone. Please submit this to the appropriate Github. --SirMoogle (talk) 16:41, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
