Clean up needed for a look through information below towards citations, grammar/spelling and accuracy of such information due to some being general, experimentation/testing and more so information that could be found from either Curseforge's Rift page, Rift's GitHub page, Rift Discussion Section MCForum thread by SuntannedDuck2 due to very few threads or sources covering Rift in much depth besides the Curseforge page, and YouTube videos by smaller Youtubers covering tutorials or similar information or visuals to the screenshots provided in this wiki page. All information below was applied to update known information of installation instructions, contribution to Rift during the 1.13.2 Rift snapshot period until Runemoro released a GitHub Rift 1.13.2 version on January 1, 2019 compared to the 1.13.2 snapshot being released on December 2, 2018.
State of Rift Assumptions[]
Since Fabric (citation needed) and Forge (citation needed) modloaders exist for 1.14+ versions of the game, Rift doesn't have any current official support (similar to Liteloader's last version being for 1.12.2 and not updated or having seen a public 1.13 existence since but Rift and Fabric are seen as the continuation of such a modloader by their background environments) by mod developers (and due to Fabric being it's successor) but there is still an active player base that uses and hears about Rift more than Fabric or they choose to use Rift over Forge 1.13.2 and it's mods despite it being officially unsupported. It is assumed that those that intend to use it are moving from 1.12.2 to 1.13.2 and use it for builds/server environment upgrades for 1.13.2 compared to using the ones for 1.14 or lack there of for 1.14 (no factual reasoning only assumptions). Rift's unofficial date of being labelled unsupported would be assumed once Fabric 1.14 (same day as 1.14's Release, April 23rd 2019) or Forge 1.14.2 mod support (July 6th 2019) became available.
