Tier 1(1x)[]
The simplest method of processing ores with Thermal Expansion is simply running ores through a redstone furnace.
Tier 2(2x)[]
Thermal Expansion provides several ways to ore double:
- A Redstone Furnace with Augment: Flux Anodizers.
- A Pulverizer hooked up to a Redstone Furnace. This has a chance of producing bonus items(ex: iron ore has a 10% chance of also producing nickel).
- An Induction Smelter, with a Metallurgical Flux input of sand. This has a chance of producing Rich Slag as a byproduct.
- Crafting the ore with Petrotheum Dust and Pyrotheum Dust.
- Magma Crucibles can be used to turn most ores into their liquid counterparts, but converting this into ingots is not easy.
Tier 3(3x)[]
- A Pulverizer with Augment: Tectonic Initiator hooked up to a Redstone Furnace. This has a chance of producing bonus items. The pulverizer needs to be supplied with Tectonic Petrotheum.
- An Induction Smelter, with a Metallurgical Flux input of Cinnabar or Rich Slag. Rich Slag gives a chance of Slag, and Cinnabar gives a 100% chance of a bonus item.
- An Induction Smelter with Augment: Pyro-Concentrator and a Metallurgical Flux input of sand. This gives a chance of Rich Slag. The machine needs to be supplied with Blazing Petrotheum.
Tier 4(4x)[]
- A An Induction Smelter with Augment: Pyro-Concentrator and a Metallurgical Flux input of Rich Slag or Cinnabar. Rich Slag gives a chance of Slag, and Cinnabar gives a 100% chance of a bonus item.
Automation of Sand[]
Sand production can be fully automated(given power). Igneous Extruder -> Pulverizer -> Pulverizer produces sand. There will be byproducts of Flint and Sand(which can be fed into the Induction Smelter or a chest).
