This page is about the Transparent Latch from Project Red. For other uses, see Transparent Latch.
Transparent Latch

ModProject Red
TypeSolid block
Required modulesIntegration

The Transparent Latch is a redstone circuit added by Project Red. It transmits a redstone signal on two outputs if a redstone signal receives the input, and the activity can be controlled by a lock (see Usage).

If the mod MineChem is installed, then you can decompose the Transparent Latch with the Chemical Decomposer into specific chemical compounds of MineChem.

Usage[edit | edit source]

A Transparent Latch from "Project Red" with input, output and lock sides indicated by WAILA

For an easier usage, NEI and WAILA could be installed, which show the input, output and lock on the Transparent Latch.

The Transparent Latch has one input, two output and one lock side for red alloy cables, redstone, an adjacent circuit, machine, lamp or anything that can be controlled with redstone signals.

If a redstone signal receives the gate on the input, then a redstone signal is transmitted on both outputs until the receiving signal is terminated.

With a receiving redstone signal on the lock side, the gate can be blocked. If the lock is on and a redstone signal receives the input, then the outputs remain off. If a redstone signal already receives the input (and the outputs are active) and the lock is activated, then the outputs still active even when the redstone signal on the input is terminated.

Using the screwdriver from Project Red, the orientation of the gate can be changed freely in all four directions.
