The Silverwood is a tree added by all versions of Thaumcraft 3 / 4 / 5 / 6. It is found in Magical Forest biomes. Its logs are used to create Silverwood Rods to create wands and its planks are used frequently to create Vis Filters. Silverwood Logs may also have Pure Aura Nodes in them, and harvesting that Log will break the Node, dropping some Ethereal Essence. The drop rate of saplings for leaves is highly rare. Silverwood Leaves can be safely pruned with Shears. When a Silverwood tree grows or spawns, Shimmerleaf plants will also spawn nearby.

Silverwood Trees:

These rare and magical trees are a wondrous sight. Their leaves shimmer with magical energy and their pale, soft wood is valued for its purifying properties. The trees magical nature is such that aura nodes often form within their hearts - this feature alone makes a silverwood sapling a prize beyond measure.
