There are many materials made by using Iron, in one way or another.

Forms of Iron[]

Iron Dust[]

Iron Dust is created by IC2 Macerators from Iron Ore, and produces two dust per ore block.

Pulverized Iron Ore[]

Pulverized Iron Ore is largely interchangeable with Iron Dust, and also produces two pulverized ores per block.

Iron Gravel and Clean Iron Gravel[]

Iron Gravel and Clean Iron Gravel give 140% the number of Iron Ingots to the original number of ore blocks.

Crystalline Iron[]

Crystalline Iron give three ingots to the original number of ore blocks, but are made with Clean Iron Gravel rather than the ore blocks themselves.

Dark Iron[]

Dark Iron is made by burning an Iron Block with Wraith Fire, which can then be mined and made into six ingots.

Refined Iron[]

Refined Iron is made by putting Iron Ingot into a furnace after eventual creation. Refined Iron Dusts can also be made. It will make 1.5 times as many rails as regular items.

Steel[]

Steel is made by placing Iron Ingots into a Railcraft Blast Furnace, and is used to create twice the number of tracks as Iron.

Thaumium Ingots[]

Thaumium Ingots are added by Thaumcraft 3/Anacraft.

Alloys using Iron[]

Iron is used in junction with dusts in FTB to create metal Alloys, and other processed resources.

Blue Alloy Ingot[]

Blue Alloy Ingots are made with Iron and Nikolite, and are used in creating blulectric wiring. It must be made with an Alloy Furnace.

Red Alloy Ingot[]

Red Alloy Ingots are made with Iron and Redstone Dust, and are used to create redstone wiring, which can transmit redstone signals at far longer distances than Redstone Dust by itself. It must be made with an Alloy Furnace.

Firey Ingot[]

Made with Firey Blood and Iron Ingots, as part of the Twilight Forest mod.

Ironwood Ingot[]

Ironwood Ingots are made with Iron, Gold Nuggets, and Liveroots.

Advanced Alloy[]

Made with Refined Iron, Copper, and Tin ingots and compressed, this alloy is used in many advanced IC2 recipes.
