Minecraft Mods[edit | edit source]

Notes to Self[edit | edit source]

Basically, pull all the items you can from the assets within the zip folder of the mod (if there isn't one, follow the steps for a block). For blocks, open up NEI, pull up that mod with the largest GUI setting possible, and take a screenshot. From here, just edit out the background with a program (I personally use GIMP, I think Santa said he uses Photoshop). Once done, rename all the individual files to the correct name for the block or item. Because of this, the blocks will appear in a 3D image when called in articles. As for the sided textures, it's the same drill. In the case of active vs. de-active, however, I use the one that the player will craft. So for example, if you're familiar with Blood Magic, the Sigil of the Greengrove is using the de-active texture since that's how it comes when crafted.
