I realize now this page is editable and I can talk here instead of...on a webpage that people actually look at but from what I said on that page

Holey Toilet Water DUDE, THIS IS insanity just saying, if you gave everyone some sort of explanation on how to do it your way, or just give us the lee-way we need to make this Wikipedia informative, Please... cause right now this is just ridiculous... Template:NavBox

But from the looks of this I might have to do that again since it seems like you're never going to look at this page again and I cant even talk to you about why that's ridiculous -- The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk β€’ contribs)

I'm reading everything that you post on this talk page, so please do continue to reply here. If you ask any questions, I'll be glad to answer them. πŸ‡Retep998πŸ‡πŸ°Bunny Overlord🐰 01:56, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

I'm really sorry for bothering you, but on this wiki, we have certain conventions we follow to maintain consistency across our pages. Rather than having a list of items and blocks on a page, we use a navbox. An example navbox can found here. Additionally, we usually have information on specific blocks and items on their corresponding pages. If you have any questions, feel free to ask ^^ again, I'm sorry if I've bothered you. -Xbony2 (talk) 01:03, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Welcome to the FTB Wiki. We have a variety of guides to help you on your way to editing articles here. You can start with Feed_The_Beast_Wiki:Getting_started. Do you have any recommendations on how to make the wiki more welcoming to new editors? πŸ‡Retep998πŸ‡πŸ°Bunny Overlord🐰 01:42, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Okay, didn't realize the messages are supposed to go downwards or that anyone else was on this page (derp) and I would like to ask a few questions so uhh...

1) I don't understand a thing about navboxes, How in the world do you get them to work and format webpages to them

2) Are there any other rules that I need to follow to make a wiki page

3) Why delete all the work done on a wiki page if its just formatted incorrectly (It seems like a bad idea considering its very unintuitive on how to make a webpage formatted like that, and that no one can ever add any information about that certain thing because it keeps getting deleted) 02:17, 21 November 2016 (UTC)Me the IP

  1. To use a navbox you simply invoke it via {{Navbox Matter Overdrive}}. The Matter Override page already has such an invocation, but nobody actually wrote {{Navbox Matter Overdrive}} yet. Unfortunately writing a navbox, or any template really, is kinda hard for someone who is completely new to mediawiki wikis. Hopefully someone more experienced will be willing to lend a hand with the navbox, *cough* xbony2 *cough*.
  2. There are plenty of articles covering the various guidelines for writing articles such as Feed The Beast Wiki:ACG and Feed The Beast Wiki:MOS.
  3. Your edits to the Matter Overdrive were almost entirely formatting and headers with very little substance, which is why xbony2 felt those edits were useless and reverted them.
  4. I am Retep998, one of the admins on this wiki.
  5. xbony2 is one of the most active editors on this wiki.

If you create a (hopefully organized) list of all the blocks and items from Matter Overdrive on Template_talk:Navbox_Matter_Overdrive then someone can take that list and turn it into a navbox for you. πŸ‡Retep998πŸ‡πŸ°Bunny Overlord🐰 03:51, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
If you want I can make it for you. -Xbony2 (talk) 11:57, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
I've already started :) you'll see it when it's done, which shouldn't take too long. -Xbony2 (talk) 12:18, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
There we go -> {{Navbox Matter Overdrive}}. It's work-in-progress right now, I'll fix it up a little bit later. But hey, you can see the outline of it and such :D -Xbony2 (talk) 01:36, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
