Please hold off on marking steves carts for translation until I'm done cleaning up and updating it. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 17:27, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Expect me to bother you to cleanup certain pages so I can mark them up. I'll probably create a list on your talk page or something. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:10, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
sounds good. Talk page is preferable for this -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 23:36, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

couple things[edit source]

Can you try to mark {{Navbox OpenBlocks}} for translation? I've tried like 6 times and it just fucks up every time. Also, can you deal with all the translated versions of the Transformation category? Thanks. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 05:52, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

I know of that issue. It's the same with a bunch of other pages that will fail. It's fault I believe is to be that the version of Extension:Translate we're using is over a year old. -Xbony2 (talk) 12:22, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
It's resolved itself. Maybe a Curse employ tripped and hit the server for this wiki or something, don't know. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:12, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Category:Liquids[edit source]

Please deal with all the leftover translated versions of Category:Liquids and their members. They belong in Fluids now. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 04:12, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Please also remove all translated uses of Other Liquid Processing. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 20:30, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
All done. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:16, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Can you do the same for Utility? -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 19:58, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Right. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:11, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Left. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 04:19, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
Puff -Xbony2 (talk) 12:31, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Removal of date[edit source]

Why did you remove the date parameter in your edit to Steam Compressor? -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 23:30, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Because it has no meaning on translated pages. -Xbony2 (talk) 00:44, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
I think a sort of "overhaul" of the Stub template might be a good solution for this... -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 07:12, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Seems like a waste of time to me. -Xbony2 (talk) 12:34, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Yeah probably -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 17:03, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Arcane Scrolls[edit source]

Feel free to mark arcane scrolls articles for translation now. I was doing it but I don't feel like it anymore. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 21:45, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Going to work on that now (as in later) -Xbony2 (talk) 23:16, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
And done. -Xbony2 (talk) 15:13, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

TE1+2 Tilesheet[edit source]

TE1 and TE2 please. Chocohead NagEditsStaff 20:14, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Done -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 20:28, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Untitled question by Dimiorgous[edit source]

How do I add infoboxes? I am new to this and would like to know how to make the pages better. Thanks -Dimiourgous (talk) 17:25, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Just call the template. If you are unsure how to do this, take a look at the MediaWiki help page about templates. Thanks for contributing! -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 19:03, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Slice n Splice[edit source]

¿Qué es la problema con las recetas de Slice n Splice? Se ve bien en User:Retep998/Sandbox/Cg, pero no ve bien en los artículos, como Tormented Enderman Head, o está solamente para mi? -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 19:13, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Those pages were built with the previous version of the Cg before I changed things. Just purge the page and it'll use the new version of the Cg and everything will be fine. 🐇Retep998🐇🐰Bunny Overlord🐰 19:23, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Translating Infobox[edit source]

Can You help me to fix the Infobox to be able to get translated to Bulgarian ? --sokratis12GR (talk) 21:56, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

I was just about to reply to you on Talk:Utility Mobs/bg :P
A few things- please only translate articles through the translation interface. You can find a list of translatable pages here.
And the infobox... you'll want to translate Module:Infobox/mod for it to display correctly.
One last thing- I'm not sure if you should use "Minecraft" or "Минекрафт" when translating; but, I would recommend just picking one or the other though. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:01, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
I think just Minecraft will be better because when you download the game in the minecraft.net and/or ingaame it is still minecraft. Em yeah I will use Minecraft. --sokratis12GR (talk) 22:08, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Almost forgot do I have to translate this InfoBox Mod ? --sokratis12GR (talk) 22:14, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
One last thing, do i have to use the full name of the word when translating ? because the word "mod/mods" is from "Modification/Modifications" and I use the full word "Modificantion" when translating. -- The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sokratis12GR (talkcontribs)
You'll want to use whatever sounds more natural in Bulgarian. I'm not sure how large the Minecraft Bulgarian community is, but whatever is "mainstream" is preferred. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:36, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Also, if you aren't too worn out, can you translate Module:Infobox/strings? Sorry you have to translate a bunch of boring stuff to get to the more interesting stuff :P -Xbony2 (talk) 22:41, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
I will do it later or tomorrow :), it isn't really boring --sokratis12GR (talk) 22:54, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Sorry but i saw that there is a language code mistake, the Greek/Ελληνικά it is written as [el] but it is [gr] . if there is a way to fix it let me know --sokratis12GR (talk) 23:07, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Not exactly... the MediaWiki codes are based of the ISO 639-1 codes, in which Greek is classified as "el". "gr" is usually used as a code to represent Greece in general, so it often extends to the Greek language. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:25, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Also on "Minecraft" vs. "Минекрафт"- Minecraft's Bulgarian translations refer to it as "Minecraft" so that is preferred :)
For Greek the same can be said. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:38, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Translations[edit source]

I want to know, because i was doing this alot. Should or Shouldn't I translate the Category:, Template:, Module: ? Because I don't want it to be broken. --sokratis12GR (talk) 23:11, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

You should translate anything which is marked for translation. Templates and modules are more important as they are used by multiple pages so they have more impact. Translating categories is rather unimportant. 🐇Retep998🐇🐰Bunny Overlord🐰 23:18, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, but i mean if i should translate the Words Category:, Template:, Module: ? --sokratis12GR (talk) 23:22, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh, the namespace prefix in the title? There's actually no reason to translate the title of templates/modules at all, probably better to just leave them as is. Regular article titles should be translated though. 🐇Retep998🐇🐰Bunny Overlord🐰 23:37, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
... I have done so many pages with translated titles. are they ok ? Also for now on I wont change the title (I will try to fix the titles but there are many... sorry) --sokratis12GR (talk) 23:40, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
Sokratis12GR: I usually translate the namespace prefix, but right now there isn't a common convention. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:56, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
I also prefer translating titles, including namespace prefixes. A reader may probably want to have everything translated, including the title. — Agent NickTheRed37 (Kirk to Enterprise) — Russian Translator and Minepedian 17:25, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
The thing is, for templates and modules, the average reader won't be reading those pages! The only people who will be reading template/module pages are people who intend to edit the articles which are all in English. They'll have to refer to templates as Template:Foo, not whatever it is translated to, so having the title be something other than how they will end up using it just seems silly to me. 🐇Retep998🐇🐰Bunny Overlord🐰 17:33, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
I like to translate titles and namespaces, as that's how it is done on Wikipedia and most other wiki sites. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 18:51, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
With templates/modules, the issue is that it becomes incorrect. {{Acerca}} isn't a thing, but {{About}} is. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:20, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Question[edit source]

How are ranks/rights obtained ? I mean like (Editor),(Reviewer),(Staff) ... ? --sokratis12GR (talk) 16:41, 6 March 2016 (UTC)

Depends. -Xbony2 (talk) 16:53, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
Editor and Reviewer is given out by staff when they feel like it. Staff needs a majority vote from existing staff. 🐇Retep998🐇🐰Bunny Overlord🐰 17:29, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
Ok thanks for explaining me ^^ --sokratis12GR (talk) 17:33, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
Could you add in the selection "Mods that use this wiki as an official wiki" My mods ? because I do use this as an official wiki for them ^^ --sokratis12GR (talk) 17:31, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
I might delete that section, so... eh. You can add it yourself if you want though; I don't mind people editing my user page as long as they don't make major changes. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:34, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

Need to be marked for translation[edit source]

Here I want to list some of the pages that need to be marked for translation:

I will be Updating this list as time goes. --sokratis12GRStaff 12:22, 20 March 2016 (UTC)

I marked up a few of the pages (the rest are to come). Keep in User:Sokratis12GR is discouraged for translation; this means it will not show up here, but you can still translate it by visiting it. Although users may translate their user pages if they so desire, it should not be considered as a priority for regular translators. -Xbony2 (talk) 12:55, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I got it. I'm working on finishing the "_High Priority " --sokratis12GRStaff 13:04, 20 March 2016 (UTC)

Twilight Forest[edit source]

Hi Bony, so continuing our Twitter conversation: With "note" I did mean the article I posted. So basically what happened is I was using the "Twilight Forest Progression" page from this website as a guideline to playing through the mod but there's a lot of stuff still missing and since I completed the "story" basically going through the whole progress I though I could help fill out a lot of the blanks and maybe add stuff that I myself had problems dealing with since they weren't explained anywhere. The Tri-bow was just the first thing I wanted to start writing on and so I searched up "Tri-bow ftb" and I ended up on the original website http://ftbwiki.org/Tri-bow which was empty like I remembered. And I thought by posting it in there would be fine (I didn't pay attention and notice it was two different websites) but when I realized it was still empty in the section here I copy pasted what I had wrote on the original website into this one. Since I wrote the original too I didn't think there would be a problem. The reason I wasn't logged in was because I was having an issue with posting as Flohoho so I just logged out again and did it like that. Tri-bow <-- Here is where I copy pasted the article into but then you removed it for copyright reasons. I'd be happy to prove that I am SoulV3 from the ftbwiki.org website, even though you'd have to let me know how I can do that. :) I hope it's okay that I'm writing it in this section, I'm not familiar with how things work on ftb. :P -- The preceding unsigned comment was added by Flohoho (talkcontribs)

Please add a signatute using "--~~~~" . --sokratis12GR Staff 17:54, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
Flohoho - thanks for your contributions :) I deleted the Tri-bow page on here, as it was copied from the unofficial wiki, which unfortunately makes it a copyright violation, even though you made it (I was in fact pretty sure that you were the IP was you who made it). It won't be restored, unless you or someone re-creates it from scratch. As according to the MOS:
It is however recommended that editors only contribute to one wiki at a time, to ensure they do not inadvertently violate the copyright policies of the wikis they edit.
the Manual of Style
Basically, if you want to contribute to this wiki, or the unofficial wiki, you need to just contribute to one or the other. I already told this, so you probably know it. Personally, I'd prefer if you contributed here :P You aren't in trouble or anything like that, and I definitely appreciate that you're trying to help.
Final note, if you aren't mad at me :P I'd recommend looking at the Getting started guide and Article creation guideline if you still want to contribute here. Thanks for your time. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:23, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
No I'm not mad at all! It was my first time and I made a mistake, you only followed the rules. :) I'll rewrite the article on the Tri-Bow since I can't delete it from the unofficial wiki and I'll keep posting on this wiki.
Thanks for the links by the way, they're really helpful. I'll get the hang of how everything works around here in time. :P Now let's see if I get my signature right. --Flohoho
Pfff, you're actually suppose to type out the four ~s :P -Xbony2 (talk) 00:03, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
Yup just realized too but when I wanted to edit it you already saw it... Grr. :P
P.S.: I posted another page but probably did a whole lot wrong, one on the Ice Tower. If so and you happen to be the one to see it I guess post it in my talk page? I'm just guessing that would be the best way, of course I could be wrong. I really hope I'm not making too much trouble around here for you or the other admins with my lack of knowledge. :( --Flohoho (talk) 00:58, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
I already got to it :P
Don't worry about making trouble :P New users are exciting, and all beginners make mistakes. Also, I'm not really an admin, but I am the most active and pretty much "main" editor (I am a staff member though, of course). -Xbony2 (talk) 01:08, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

This thread makes me inspired to finish up the new TF stuff -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 16:23, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Found something[edit source]

I clicked random page today and I get this. Apparently this one uses old-style translation. So, question: how do you find out old-style translation pages? T3==ThaumicTechTinker, Urey.S.Knowledge Want to keep touch? 00:18, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

I have a list of old translations still the mainspace here. Some I don't want to mark up because the English article is outdated or incomplete (this is one of them), some I just haven't got around to. I made the list from looking through the categories a long time ago (also through DPL a while ago) -Xbony2 (talk) 11:27, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Mariculture[edit source]

Please mark {{Navbox/Mariculture}} for translation. I started doing it but got bored. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 00:03, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

ArmorPlus Textures for The Tilesheet[edit source]

ArmorPlus Textures for version 1.9.0 and bellow there are no Block Textures :D --sokratis12GR Staff 11:19, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

pinche puto[edit source]

¿¡Por qué te has creado muchas páginas mismas!? ¡Las páginas de Bronze Hammer, Tungstensteel Hammer, Steel Hammer, y probablamente más están los mismos! Puuuutooooo. Te pregunto para cambiarlo. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 17:00, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

There's not really a point to put them together when they are so small in number. If there were twenty hammers sure, but really, three or four? -Xbony2 (talk) 19:27, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
that's only because the other ones haven't been made yet iirc. They have the exact same content, why are they multiple pages? -- SatanicSanta🎅FTB Wiki Admin 16:38, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
No, that's all of the hammers in GT4, except for the Rubber Hammer which, iirc, is somewhat different. I see no point in squishing the pages together unless they need to. -Xbony2 (talk) 16:41, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Your argument is irritating so I'm going to just do it myself. -- SatanicSanta🎅FTB Wiki Admin 19:49, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Is it perhaps because I'm right? It's a lot more time-consuming (in my experience) to make one big page then to make four small pages, and users are more likely for search for "Bronze Hammer" instead of "Hammer (GregTech 4)", especially since they don't know that the Hammers are near-identical. I expect you can crush that last argument with the simple word "redirects", but it doesn't seem you've added the proper redirects to Hammer (GregTech 4), so.... -Xbony2 (talk) 21:21, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Also bashing me over pages I made 9 months ago is a bit silly. If I made that page now, I'd probably be more likely to have it as one page. -Xbony2 (talk) 21:28, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Idk bro you've always been a bit new-page-happy for very similar pages... -PaladinAHOne Staff (talk) 02:21, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
Yes. But it would still be different. I'd probably have Hammer (GregTech 4) and many pages for each type :D -Xbony2 (talk) 11:54, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Ugh[edit source]

Once again, use your damn bot account when performing monotonous and tedious edits. The least you could do is state in the edit summary "Just adding translation tags, ignore me" so I know not to check a thousand edits. Doesn't your bot have this functionality? -- SatanicSanta🎅FTB Wiki Admin 16:36, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

No, it only adds some of the markup. -Xbony2 (talk) 16:39, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
What exactly did you do in those bajillion edits that your bot couldn't've? -- SatanicSanta🎅FTB Wiki Admin 19:49, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
