The Vertical Windmill is a block added by Better With Mods. It is used to generate continuous Mechanical Power. Vertical Windmills must be provided with a 9x7x9 area of free space including the 7 axles in the middle. It is placed on the bottom-most axle. The Windmill does not need the blocks above it to be cleared, meaning it will operate fine underground or in the Nether.
The faster the Vertical Windmill blows the faster the axle will turn, when it's raining or snowing it will turn too fast for a Wooden Gearbox to handle for up to 30 seconds. To stop a Gearbox from overpowering, one must supply it with a Redstone signal.
Each of the blades of the Vertical Windmill can be dyed by clicking on the axle in the middle with a dye in hand.
Vertical Windmills require air flow and thus do not work in the void of the End.

Here is an example of a Vertical Windmill Setup:
The Windmill is turning and creating continuous power, feeding it into an Axle which then transfers through Gearboxes and so on.
