The Windmill (A.K.A: Horizontal Windmilll) is a block added by Better With Mods. It is the most basic way of generating continuous Mechanical Power. Windmills must be provided with a 13x13x1 area of free space and are placed on an axle in the center. There can not be any blocks above the Windmill, meaning it will not operate underground or in the Nether.
The faster the Windmill blows the faster the axle will turn, when it's raining or snowing it will turn too fast for a Wooden Gearbox to handle for up to 30 seconds. To stop a Gearbox from overpowering, one must supply it with a Redstone signal.
Each of the blades of the Windmill can be dyed by clicking at the center of the Windmill block with a dye in hand.
Windmills require air flow and thus do not work in the void of the End.

Usage[edit | edit source]
Here is an example of a (Horizontal) Windmill Setup:
The Windmill is turning and creating continuous power, feeding it into an Axle which then transfers through Gearboxes and so on.
History[edit | edit source]
|1.12-2.3.10||Windmills now stack to 16 rather than 1.|
