Wireless Transmitter (WR-CBE)
- This page is about the Wireless Transmitter added by WR-CBE. For other uses, see .
|Mod||Wireless Redstone Chicken Bones Edition|
The Wireless Transmitter is an item block added by WR-CBE. It is used to wirelessly trasmit a redstone signal that it has received from its "front" end (the open end of the red line) at an arbitrarily designated frequency. The direction the transmitter is facing can be manipulated with a Screwdriver. Wireless redstone signals are stored in the Redstone Ether (REther) dimension, a non-physical dimension purely for redstone signals.
Recipe[edit | edit source]
Some versions[clarify] allow the Stone Wafer and Stone Wires to be substituted with Stone Slabs and Redstone. If Tinkers' Construct is installed Obsidian Sticks can be substituted with Obsidian Tool Rods.
Usage[edit | edit source]
- For more information about wireless redstone and frequencies, see Wireless redstone mechanics.
Connection[edit | edit source]
A redstone signal must first be applied, such as through a Pressure Plate, Lever, or Button. The Wireless Transmitter will only receive that redstone signal through its "front" end (the open end of the red line). The Transmitter will not receive signals that are applied from the side or back of the block, as well as signals applied to the block directly below it.
A Wireless Transmitter that is "On" and has been phase shifted (colored) will show up on the Wireless Map and can be pinpointed using a Triangulator.
GUI[edit | edit source]
|The simple GUI with basic functions.||The advanced GUI that allows naming of frequencies with a list. Frequencies can also be visually colored (phase shifted) using colored Lumar present in the player's inventory.|
Right-clicking on the Transmitter will bring up the simple GUI, which allows the player to set a frequency number from 1 to 5000. The frequency number is also visually shown on the item block itself.
The Advanced GUI allows the player to apply a custom name to that frequency for easier labeling. These numbers are then stored in the bottom list and double-clicking the names will instantly change the Transmitter's frequency. The Advanced GUI also allows the player to set a Phase Shift spectrum color using Lumar. This color is purely for aesthetic and identification purposes on the Wireless Map and Wireless Remote. Setting a phase color adds no technical properties to the item or signal.
