| Axe of the Stream
Combining the element of water found within a wand of frost and a thaumium axe, you have created a tool that embodies the aspects of motion and flow. It functions like a normal axe on all materials except natural logs and trees. When used the axe seeks to the furthest block of that same type that is still conected to the block you are attempting to harvest and harvests that one instead. In effect you will chop trees from the top down even if you hit the bottom most block. In addition all blocks harvested in this manner will automatically flow towards you to be collected. If you press and hold right click the axe will harvest at a much faster speed, but at a greater cost to its durability. If shift is held while using this tool all its special properties are suspended and it functions like a normal axe. | |

The Axe of the Stream is an elemental tool added by Thaumcraft 3. It has durability similar to the vanilla Diamond Axe, however when used to break a wood block (such as logs) it searches for the furthest wood block connected in a single block radius in every direction by other wood blocks to the targeted block and breaks it until it reaches that targeted block. For example when breaking blocks from a tree, it will break the top most block and continue to break blocks towards the targeted block until all possible blocks are broken.
Blocks broken with the axe using this method will float towards the wielder for easier collection.
Right-clicking with the Axe of the Stream will follow the same process at a much faster rate at the cost of more durability. By simultaneously holding down the left and right mouse button the process will go even faster, but at an even further cost to the durability.
Sneaking while breaking a block will cause the axe to lose it's special attributes and act as a normal axe.
The Wand of Frost must be researched before the player can unlock the ability to research the Axe of the Stream.

Usage[]
Chops down structures of wooden logs by breaking the furthest blocks connected to the structure until reaching the targeted block. Costs a single durability point for every block broken.
Broken blocks will 'flow' towards the user for easier pick-up.
Right clicking with the axe when targeting a block will break blocks in the structure at a faster rate at the cost of more durability (every second block broken costs two durability points).
Both left-clicking and right-clicking at the same time will break blocks in the structure at an even faster rate. This method costs both durability penalties of right-clicking and left-clicking simultaneously.
Sneaking while breaking a block causes the axe to act normally with no special qualities.
Axe holds enchantments well as a Thaumium tool.
