Basalt is a decorative block added by RedPower 2. It generates in the world in the form of Volcanoes. Similar to Stone, when it is mined it will turn into Basalt Cobblestone, unless a pickaxe with the Silk Touch enchantment is used. Smelting Basalt Cobblestone in a Furnace will turn it back into Basalt. Basalt is also used for crafting Basalt Brick and Basalt Paver. If GregTech is installed, basalt can be macerated into Basalt Dust which can be further refined.
