The Bear Trap is a block added by OpenBlocks. This block is used to capture creatures and keep them stuck. It will not damage the animals, but it will not allow them to move. For them to operate properly the player must first open them by right-clicking on the Trap. Mobs can get stuck in the Bear Trap by walking over them; players cannot get stuck in Bear Traps.
Bear Traps will open again if the mob it is latched onto dies.
