The Black Widow is a hostile mob added by The Erebus. It is one of the more dangerous Spider mobs in the mod. They can spawn in one of the following sizes: small, medium or large. All Black Widows regardless of size have 25 ( × 12.5) health points. When targeting the player the Black Widow darts right up to them, inflicting damage and occasionally the Wither effect. The medium and large Black Widow spiders have the ability to shoot Wither Webs at the player as a means of slowing the player down so that they can attack.

Black Widows are found in the Volcanic Desert in the Erebus dimension. When not attacking the player, Black Widows will hunt and kill Flies and Bot Flies.

When killed, it will drop 0-2 String, 0-1 Poison Glands and 0-1 Spider Eyes.
