The Bonsai Pot is a block added by Bonsai Trees. It can be used to grow small trees. The sapling will visibly and eventually be the size of between 1x1–2 blocks. It can be upgraded into a Hopping Bonsai Pot, which will deposit all drops into an inventory below it.

Usage[]
First, place the appropriate soil in the Bonsai Pot for the intended sapling; this will be Dirt for most of them but some modded saplings may require more exotic soils. Once soil has been placed in the pot, compatible saplings (see List of saplings compatible with Bonsai Trees) can be placed in the pot by right-clicking the sapling on the block.
Once planted, the sapling will grow over a short period of time (typically 30 seconds). Once fully grown, the bonsai tree may be harvested. Note that plants won't be able to grow if there is a block above the pot. Also torches, when placed one block above, prevent the plants from growing.
To harvest, right-click the bonsai tree with an axe. When harvested, the bonsai will vanish and the player will be provided with a random selection of resources based on the sapling type. The bonsai will automatically re-plant and a new bonsai will begin growing immediately. The axe used to harvest the bonsai lose one durability point per item dropped.
If the bonsai is harvested before the tree has finished growing, the sapling is returned to the player and the Bonsai Pot will be ready for a different kind of sapling.
