The Brew of Crimson Shade is a potion added by Botania. It gives the Bloodthirst effect to the player who drinks the brew.
In effect, it allows hostile monsters to spawn within a 64 block radius of the entity, regardless of light level or other spawning conditions. The Managlass Vial variant of the brew carries 4 doses, and 6 for the Alfglass Flask variant. The effects of the brew lasts 6 minutes for the potions. When brewed as an Incense Stick, the effect lasts 6 hours when it is burned on an Incense Plate.
