Forge Energy (FE) is an energy API that was added to the Forge project in Minecraft version 1.12. It offers an energy system functionally equivalent to Redstone Flux (RF).
Several mods that use FE choose to rename their power units. Some examples of renamed FE implementations are:
- Crystal Flux (CF; Actually Additions)
- Micro Infinity (µI; Ender IO)
- Immersive Flux (IF; Immersive Engineering)
RF and FE are not directly compatible with each other. However, the majority of mods that use one of them also provide support for the other, implementing seamless conversion between them. For this reason, the two systems are often seen as being the same.
