Gelid Cryotheum is a fluid added by Thermal Expansion 3 and Thermal Foundation. It is an extremely cold lava-like fluid. It can be used in the Compression Dynamo as a powerful coolant. It can be placed in the world, in which case it will flow at lava speed to a distance of 5 blocks. The presence of fluid Gelid Cryotheum causes Snow to generate on nearby blocks. Source blocks of Gelid Cryotheum will slowly flow downward if able. Any entities that touch fluid Gelid Cryotheum will be slowed and take damage similar to if they had touched flowing Lava, apart from the fact that you will not catch "cold" fire, the damage will cease as soon as you it's not touching you.
