The Iron Cap is a component added by Thaumcraft 4, used in the creation of magic wands. They are the most basic and weakest caps in the game, and impose a 110% penalty in vis costs. Additionally, they will be unable to stop completely draining aspects in Aura Nodes, potentially damaging them.
