The Living Chestplate is a chestplate added by Blood Magic for Minecraft 1.8.9 and later. It is a part of an armor set that is comprised of the Living Helmet, Living Leggings and Living Boots; equipping the full set grants the upgrades gained on the Chestplate.
Recipe
The Living Chestplate is created by placing Arcane Ashes, Binding Reagent, and an Iron Chestplate in that order on a solid block. It will take a few seconds for all the items to transform into the Living Chestplate. The Living Chestplate will begin with 100 available upgrade points.
Rituals
Activating a Sound of the Cleansing Soul ritual while standing on top of the Master Ritual Stone will strip all upgrades from the chestplate and drop Living Armor Upgrade Tomes of each ability retaining its specific level. Upgrade Tomes can be used in hand to place the respective ability onto the currently worn Living Chestplate. Two Tomes of the same ability and level can be combined in an anvil.
Activating a Ritual of Living Evolution while standing on top of the Master Ritual Stone will increase available upgrade points from 100 to 300.

An Elytra Living Armor Upgrade Tome is created by combining a book with an Elytra in an anvil (with the book in the first slot and the Elytra in the second) for 30 levels. The upgrade provides Elytra flight while holding down the jump key.

Downgrades
Downgrades are gained by crafting them in a Penance of the Leadened Soul ritual. They remove the number upgrade points used, allowing the player to add more upgrades.
Battle Hungry gives the player exhaustion every 20 ticks.
