The Red Stringed Interceptor is a block added by Botania. It is used to detect interaction with nearby blocks.
The interceptor can face any of the 6 directions. When placed, the interceptor will face the player and bind to the first tile entity in a straight line within 8 blocks. It cannot bind to other Red String blocks. The connection can be seen when holding a Wand of the Forest.
Whenever a player tries to interact with the bound block, the interceptor will make a clicking noise and emit a redstone signal for 2 ticks.
