The Silo is a 3x3x7 multi-block added by Immersive Engineering, used for storing items.
Construction[]
The Silo is fairly simple to make. The first layer contains one Iron Sheetmetal, with a Treated Wood Fence in each diagonal. The next five layers contain a 3x3 doughnut shaped Iron Sheetmetal platform, topped by the seventh and final layer, a 3x3 solid layer of Iron Sheetmetal.
This uses 4 Treated Wood Fences and 50 Iron Sheetmetal total.
After it is fully arranged, the player must right-click the bottom-center Iron Sheetmetal of any side of the multi-block with an Engineer's Hammer, then the multi-block is complete.
Usage[]
The Sheetmetal Silo will store 41,472 items (the size of 24 Chests). They, however, all must be the same item.
Items can be piped into the top block, and removed through the bottom block. Removal of items requires a Redstone signal.
The Silo will visually show the item being stored and it's amount on each side of the Silo.
Comparator Usage[]
The Silo has integration with the Redstone Comparator. When next to the input block, the Redstone Comparator will emit a signal proportional based on how full the Silo is. For example, a full Silo will yield a full 15 signal strength from the Redstone Comparator.
Trivia[]
- In WAILA, the Silo is called "Item Silo".
