The Spade is a tool added by GregTech 6. While similar to a shovel, it is only capable of digging through blocks such as Snow, Grass, Mycelium, Podzol, Mud, and Clay. It cannot dig blocks such as Gravel and Sand. In exchange for these restrictions the Spade has a higher mining speed and also acts as if it had the Silk Touch enchantment.
