The Type Filter is a machine added by GregTech 5. It is used to sort items in automation.
The button left of the blue arrow can be changed to any Oredictionary prefix like "ore" or "dust". It then only accepts items having this prefix in its Oredictionary entry. It also has an internal buffer for 9 items.
The filter also has 5 buttons to change its behavior:
- Conducting energy to the block it is pointing to.
- Emitting redstone signals while having an item inside.
- Inverting the redstone signal.
- Inverting the filter. (Accepting all items besides that programmed into the filter)
- Ignore NBT data of items. (Not really does anything in this machine)
